CRISTIAN MOHADED

ABOUT

/01

Born in Catamarca in 1980, Cristian Mohaded grew up surrounded by makershis mother weaving, his grandmother painting, artisans shaping the everyday with their hands. That fascination with creation led him to study Industrial Design and explore the dialogue between tradition and innovation.

In his practice, he combines contemporary expression, material experimentation and the spirit of his native landscapesmountains, salt flats, dunes and volcanoesgiving life to pieces that move between object, installation and sculpture.

/02

His works explore the encounter of opposing materials and processes: ceramics that break and are reborn through the union of metal, or dense stoneware surrendering to the tension of fibers. Fracture becomes bond, and difference turns into poetry. Each creation celebrates pluralism, honoring the beauty that only arises in contact with the strange and the diverse.
