Artesia offers a singular vision, born from the meticulous curatorial work of its director, Gina Vargas Roemmers.
Born in Colombia, her exposure to art and craftsmanship began at an early age. Her grandmother, a seamstress, unknowingly passed on the legacy of valuing the handmade. Those early experiences, her upbringing among nuns, together with her later training in haute couture and a natural sensitivity, led her to what would become her own project: Artesia.
A profound exercise in curatorship and philanthropy with a single mission: to give visibility, raise awareness, and bring prosperity to the communities that make of their heritage a way of life. Artesia clearly demonstrates that philanthropy isn’t always limited to a formal foundation. Through its commercial and cultural space, the brand creates a direct channel to economically and socially support artisan communities around the world.
